The Manga Department prepares you to be part of a new generation of mangaka, in an evolving industry transcending the traditional framework of genres — shounen, shoujo, seinen. Your professors will be active manga artists who can pass on their practical knowledge and all the skills you need to make it in the industry.

General Manga

General Manga

Become a manga artist who has mastered the fundamentals and can work on the front lines of the industry. The curriculum covers all the skills necessary to draw manga, including how to plan, how to draw with various pens, how panels are formed, how to draw color illustrations and how to finish a manuscript.

Digital Manga

Digital Manga

In addition to analog manga production techniques, focus deeply on digital drawing techniques in order to enter the constantly growing web manga industry. The class is held in cooperation with comico, a very popular digital manga publisher, whose staff can advise you directly.

Manga Scenario Writing

Manga Scenario Writing

Learn to express themes and your worldviews through manga. By studying readability as a concept and manga production methods, students will become storytellers unbound by tropes.
