@Gaijinpot: "SNG's reputation as one of Tokyo's most well-regarded language schools speaks for itself."

Over 40 years of experience have allowed SNG to develop their own acclaimed teaching and learning methods and become one of Tokyo's top language schools.

About

With over 45 years of experience in teaching Japanese, Shinjuku Japanese Language Institute (or Shinjuku Nihongo Gakko in Japanese, SNG for short) will help you with everything from gaining Japanese conversation skills, entering a Japanese university, or working in Japan.

An original teaching method titled the “Ezoe Method,” is what sets SNG apart from other schools. This innovative and creative teaching strategy took many years to develop but has proven highly effective in enabling students to acquire language skills and express themselves.

Combined with a blended learning system that they call “Visual Learning Japanese” for beginner classes, students can continue practicing at home, thus learning the Japanese language basics more efficiently and effectively.

SNG offers many extra-curricular activities throughout the year outside of the city such as an excursion to the iconic Mount Fuji and a hiking and barbecue trip to the scenic countryside of Okutama. These are in addition to activities designed to help students meet and make friends with Japanese people, including the rare chance to participate in local festivals, as well as exchange meets with university students.

Testimonials

When I decided to come to Japan, I only had in mind that I wanted to be in an intensive study program. At SNG I had the chance to study to JLPT N1 but still have fun in group activities with a lot of classmates from all over the world.
