About

JapanSwitch is switching up the idea of a traditional Japanese language school. Being one of the few schools that does not require an admission fee, they have highly accessible pricing. Speaking of accessibility, the school is located in one of the most central areas of Tokyo: Ueno. Not only does this make the campus really easy to access, but it also makes it easy to put your Japanese skills to the test in the surrounding area after you’ve finished with your classes.

Aside from not requiring an admission fee, the school also has monthly contracts starting from 2 weeks, making this one of the most flexible schools in terms of commitment in Tokyo. In addition, if you miss a course due to any unexpected reason, you can have FREE make up lessons for the lessons that you missed. This flexibility in scheduling makes this school an ideal option for those who are working in Japan and need a school that can work around their hours. This is also a great option for tourists who are looking to improve their Japanese, but can’t commit to a rigid schedule because they’ll be busy, well, touring Japan!

GaijinPot Recommends:
In-person group lessons

While JapanSwitch offers a variety of courses for today’s busy individuals, our recommended course would definitely be the In-Person Group Lesson. These lessons have a maximum of 6 students per class. While this unfortunately means you won’t have much room to hide, this does mean that you will have plenty of opportunities to speak during the 100 minutes of class time.

The school also offers in-person one-on-one courses and online courses!
